James J. Jackson was stopped near Wood and Stockton Streets on Friday, July 1, Trenton Police said in a release on Wednesday, July 13.
During the stop, officers saw a spent shell casing and asked Jackson to step out of the vehicle, police said.
A follow-up search of Jackson’s vehicle allegedly turned up a handgun.
Jackson was placed under arrested and charged appropriately.
The police department’s Violent Crimes Unit also assisted.
